What will it take to elevate the game of soccer in Hernando County and beyond? First Hernando Youth Soccer Club and Plymouth Argyle F.C. community department, England think the answer lies in a youth-to-adult training network. FHYSC are delighted to announce an alliance that will bring this initiative to our club!

Since becoming professional in 1903, Plymouth Argyle F.C has won five football league titles and has always been known for its impressive youth development policy. P.A.F.C and F.H.Y.S.C community team have been working to build a relationship that will enable F.H.Y.S.C to adopt the same youth development model.

This innovative partnership makes First Hernando Youth Soccer Club the only youth sports organization in the area to link up this way with a professional sports team.

Utilizing this exciting link we plan to grow F.H.Y.S.C from a small parent-run organization into a non-profit that serves the maximum amount of players from 3 years old to adults! The partnership will create opportunities for F.H.Y.S.C players, improve coaching, and give local players a chance to interact with professional players and coaches from consistently one of the best youth set up's in England.

For F.H.Y.S.C players there is the possibility of a direct pathway to the professional level, the best players from our club can be recommended and scouted by the professional club. FHYSC will be also hosting PAFC men’s and women’s teams in the future, here at Anderson Snow Park.

The biggest impact will be in coaching education, with access to PAFC community coaches and curriculum our players will directly see the benefits.

Phil Bennett, F.H.Y.S.C Director Of Coaching "this partnership is about growing soccer in our area – boys and girls, adults playing on weekends. It’s a positive step for the sport and for the soccer players of our community.”

“soccer is an emerging sport here, but our club is striving to produce players of the highest quality and this partnership will have a positive impact on that goal.”

F.H.Y.S.C will welcome P.A.F.C boys community team on a tour from June 11th to June 22nd 2018 here in Spring Hill at Anderson snow Park! The boys will play in games against FHYSC and a select team from Tampa. They will also be conducting coaching sessions with our youth players.
