“Juggle Club”

What is Juggling? Juggling is the art of keeping a soccer ball up in the air with your feet, thighs, chest and head. It is a powerfully simple and fun way of improving your skill with a soccer ball.Getting started? Hold the ball out in front of you, take a deep breath to relax, and then drop the ball down to the laces on your shoes. Attempt to keep the ball up for 2 or 3 times before catching it again. Try this until you feel comfortable and then start trying to beat your highest scoreGetting better? Try starting with the ball on the ground. Roll the ball back towards you with the sole of the foot, rolling the back onto the top of your toes, and then flicking the ball into the air. Try to stay calm and relaxed when juggling. It is easier if you keep the ball close to you. Also, try to use both feet and different body parts. Change it up! Challenge yourself! Juggling can be done anywhere and on any surface...the driveway, your yard, at a playground or while warming up for your soccer game! The only equipment you need is your soccer ball. However, if you choose to juggle on a hard surface, please wear tennis shoes as your cleats may make you slip.Why Juggle? Juggling alone can help improve every aspect of your soccer game. It develops your confidence on the ball. It can also improve your concentration, while developing a perfectly soft touch on the ball. Regardless of how good you become at playing soccer, juggling will always challenge you and aid in your improvement. The rules: You cannot use your hands or arms to keep the ball in the air, and you cannot let the ball bounce on the ground. Any other body parts (aside from hands and arms) count toward the total number juggles. The players must return to zero if the ball hits the ground. How do I have my score verified? To have your score verified you must juggle in front of a member of the Hernando Heat competitive coaching staff, or a board member. Maybe you can even challenge your coach or trainer! They will then email verified scores for posting on the website
